I LIVE TO TELL STORIES

Intelligent, emotional, surprising, uplifting, interesting stories

MY STORY

Greetings!

My name is Johnny Hart, and I live to tell stories – intelligent, emotional, surprising, uplifting, and interesting stories.

When I was 13 years old, I happened upon the film “Almost Famous." Back then, all I ever wanted in the world was to be a Rolling Stone journalist.

Things change, but my passion for storytelling did not.

At Colorado State University, I was fortunate to be a part of an award-winning student media program that earned me an education much beyond the classroom.

After leaving school, working at the Trinidad Chronicle-News — a small-town daily newspaper in southern Colorado — allowed me the chance to learn all aspects of reporting and news gathering along with multimedia skills.

From there, I worked for an independent sports radio station in Denver. That’s where I grew up, learned how to be professional, and learned the craft of telling stories and communication.

Scratching my itch to create more, I left for Fort Collins once again, this time as a digital producer for USA Today partner newspaper The Coloradoan. I learned the business and analytics side to media, understanding patterns in readership and viewership and making strategic decisions on content.

After about a year in Fort Collins, I found myself being able to put these skills together to attain a position with one of the top-rated sports radio stations in the country – Sports Radio 104.3 The Fan. This job let me build a digital footprint from the ground up while taking me to places like the Super Bowl. It also allowed me to prove myself in front of a much larger audience than I had experienced previously.

I am so grateful for all these wonderful experiences.
